About Our Pre-School
Camel Pre-School was established as Camel Playgroup in September 1969. The name change took place in 1997. It is a member of the Pre-School Learning Alliance (PLA) and as such has adopted its constitution and Equal Opportunities Policy, copies of which are displayed on the notice board.

The Pre-School is registered to practice by OFSTED (EY335445) and in July 1993 became a Registered Charity (Registered Charity No. 1023768).

Our aim is:

-
To enhance the development and education of children under statutory school age in a parent-involving, community-based group.

To work within a framework which ensures equality of opportunity for all children and families.

We offer your child:

-
A specially tailored curriculum leading to approved learning outcomes.
-
Individual care and attention made possible by a high ratio of adults to children.
-
Fun and friendship with children and other adults.
-
The support of a personal keyworker.
-
Opportunities for you and your family to be directly involved in the activities of the group and in your child's progress.
Camel Pre-School welcomes all children between the ages of 2 and 5 years, including those with special needs.

Names are accepted onto a waiting list from the age of 18 months.

Having been offered a place your child will be able to make a visit to a Pre-School session prior to starting, but we are also open to visits at any time.
